FitalyStamp version 2.05 - The package

The package includes four FitalyStamp overlays which you will find safely wrapped in the User's Manual. The overlays come in different sizes that correspond to the supported forms:

• Palm V form
  for the Palm V, Vx, m500 and m505.
• Palm III form
  for the Palm III and VII, the Handspring Visor, and the TRGpro.
• m100 form
  for the Palm m100 and m105.
• Sony Clié form
  for the Sony Clié 710C and 610C.

Your package should contain four overlays of the form you ordered, that is, either of the Palm III, Palm V, m100, or Sony Clié form. In addition, it should contain an installation diskette for the software.

FitalyStamp Installation - Registered Version

To Install FitalyStamp, run the installer program FitalyStamp.exe which is on the installation diskette. The installation will install certain files on your desktop. It will also prepare two files to be installed on your Palm organizer the next time you perform a Hotsync.

The first file is FSStatus.prc, which you will run once on your Palm organizer to activate your registration. The second file is either:

• FitalyStampApp.prc
  a stand-alone application
• FitalyStampHack.prc
  a system extension managed by HackMaster.

The installer will ask you to select either the "App" or the "Hack" form. If you are already using HackMaster to manage system extensions, you should install FitalyStampHack. Similarly, install the Hack form if you are using some HackMaster-compatible extension manager such as X-Master. Otherwise, install the stand-alone application FitalyStampApp.

FitalyStamp Installation - Demo Version

The demo version of FitalyStamp includes the following prc files:

• FitalyStampApp.prc
  a stand-alone application
• FitalyStampHack.prc
  a system extension managed by HackMaster.

If you are using HackMaster to manage system extensions, you should install FitalyStampHack. Similarly, install the Hack form if you are using some HackMaster-compatible extension manager such as X-Master. Otherwise, install the stand-alone application FitalyStampApp.

Notes on Upgrading

If you are installing this version over a previous version of FitalyStamp, you must first uninstall the prior version. (See the next section or the User's Manual.)

Note that for upgrading, you are going to delete FitalyStamp but not the companion program FS Status, which handles registration information. So when you install the new FitalyStamp software, it will find out from FS Status that it is already registered.

Un-Installing FitalyStamp

To uninstall FitalyStamp, perform the following two steps:

• Disable FitalyStamp
  from the FitalyStamp application icon or from HackMaster. This first step is essential since going to the second step (deleting) without first disabling can leave the Palm organizer in an unstable state.

  If you are in doubt, another way of making sure that FitalyStamp is disabled is to do a soft reset (the simple reset that is performed with a paper-clip or with a pen on the back of the Palm organizer).

• Delete FitalyStamp
  in the same way as you delete any other Palm application. (See the section "Installing and Removing applications" in the Handbook for the Palm Organizer.)
