trying to open Wordperfect after installation......

help....I've tried everything I know. He has XP on his, and I know I've read where 6.1 isn't compatible, but I have it on my laptop and it works....anyway, I have tried everything i know. When I try to open program, get cannot initialize error, plus cannot start mfwin before previous instance has quit..... I also got another error, posetup caused a general protection fault in module SHWIn20.dll @ 0032:019F. I have tried renaming the wpcset.bif file but that didn't help. anyone care to venture a guess...????
