Function keys. Complex slides.

Hi,

The most important function keys on the Pocket PC seem to be F1 and F2.
F1 opens the menu on the left and F2 opens the menu on the right.

F6 opens a dialog to set the volume.
Control+F6 is equivalent to the ok button.

Appart from these I don't see any standard meaning for the other function keys, don't hesitate to correct me if I am wrong.

We provide all function keys from F1 to F12 because some special applications may use exotic combinations using these function keys. I know this is not very realistic as most input methods don't provide access to function keys at all and it would probably not be very clever to design a Pocket PC application that uses F8 for instance. Let us say that we have them in our macro language for the sake of having them all in case somebody needs them. :-)

Concerning complex slides like the ones that change the font color, these slides are not that easy to program. I will attach a slidefile containing these slides to this message. You can copy it to your machine and load it using the "i" menu "Load slides" item. If you want to include them in your own slidefile you will have to copy them over in your slidefile, you may also want to assign these slides to a different key then the escape key that I used.

The best way to create complex slides is to do them step by step.
You want to create a slide that changes the text alignment, as a first step create a slide that opens the Paragraph dialog and then expand your slide until it does the complete sequence that you want.

If control Z is not suitable because it removes only one letter at a time you can use control backspace to delete the previous word.

Hopefully some other creative Fitaly users will join and share their slides with us in the near future.

Best regards,
Emmanuel
