First of all, remember that for occasional digits, you can also use the symbol panel.

If you have to type a lot of numbers, it is, of course, better to toggle to the number panel 123

If you find the 123 key difficult to reach, you may define a slide that produces the abc and 123 panel. For example, you could define a South slide for the space key in the Fitaly Editor by inserting the macro abc and 123 under panel key.
