Maybe, but I use my north for upper/lower cases; but, I see your point, and I could probably use NE for that purpose.
Before I chose Fitaly, I looked at some other keyboard methods, and one in particular (Tengo Free) did the typing up front, and then backspaced, and then typed over. That caused problems on fixed-length fields, because it would type 4 letters (for example), but maybe the field limited input to 3; then, when it backspaced 4 times, things got messed up.
I don't think {space}{backspace} is in that same category, but it's close. A {null} macro might do the trick better, in these "exceptional cases".
