I hoped you would make such a suggestion. It would be of great use to every Fitaly beginner.
I could imagine the following:
1. In the options menu the user choses a *.doc. When he begins to play the program walks in random steps back and forth through the text and selects a word. For those who do not have a document editor a standard text is provided and selected by default. So everybody could train the Fitaly or the FitalyStamp in his native language with accents, umlauts and so on. A quite reality-near training. Begin with short docs and proceed to large ones.
Words longer than a certain value of letters will be shortened.
2. The letters written could appear in a bottom line. When the blank is hit, the word will be compared.
3. For the Fitaly 2.0 the falling speed could be decreased to the half. That would give the opportunity to use the normal Fitaly in the lower half of the screen and the falling words area in the upper half.
Actually I have played the Giraffe game with Fitaly 2.0 and it worked.
For the Fitaly 2.0 the writing line should be in the middle between the Fitaly and the falling words.
4. I personally would have strong interest to do some programming for this. But besides of being new to the PalmOS I am short of time the next few months due to my dissertation.
Regards
Hannes
