I have recently used a utility from ActualTools (http://www.actualtools.com) which can make Fitaly transparent. I costs $19.95; therefore, more expensive than the macro solution, but it is straightforward without learning macros. I am sure there are other utilities for making window transparent, but I have not used any others.
